Even though they came out victorious in the game, Nigeria midfielder Alex Iwobi has admitted that the game against Guinea Bissau was difficult.
The Everton player was in action again on Monday at the Semptembro 24 stadium as he played a key role in the Nigeria 0-1 victory.
Iwobi said on a short video on social media, that the game was difficult but they were able to keep a clean sheet.
” It was a very difficult game, we knew it won’t be easy playing way from home. When we got the goal we needed they came out and we are able to keep a clean sheet and keep the win.
“Football can change but we refused to be complacent going by the strength they have upfront. The same message I used to say, keep supporting us”, he stated.
