2023 AFCON Qualifier: Lookman sit out Super Eagles training

Atalanta winger, Ademola Lookman was excused from training on Wednesday night as the Super Eagles stepped up preparations for this weekend’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone.

No reason was given for Lookman’s absence by the technical crew.

22 players took part in the exercise at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.

The Super Eagles are expected to train behind closed doors on Thursday (today) evening at the ground.

Jose Peseiro’s men will take on the Leone Stars at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium, Monrovia on Sunday.

Guinea-Bissau moved to top position in the group after edging past Sao Tome and Principe 1-0 on Wednesday night.
