The draw for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations will be conducted today.
Nigeria has been placed in Pot 1 ahead of the event.
The Super Eagles are among the 12 teams seeded for the draw.
Other countries in Pot 1 are: Senegal, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Cameroon, Algeria, Mali, Cote d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Ghana and Democratic Republic of Congo.
The draw ceremony will be held in the studios of SuperSport in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The 48 countries who have qualified to participate in the second round of the qualifiers, were seeded into four pots based on the official FIFA ranking released on 31 March, 2022.
The teams will then be drawn into 12 groups of four teams (Group A to L), with the top two teams from each group qualifying for the tournament to be played in Cote d’Ivoire.
The draw will be conducted by the CAF Director of Competitions, Samson Adamu, assisted by Lucas Radebe of South Africa and Ivorian Solomon Kalou.
