2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup: Trophy To Arrive in Nigeria March 26

World soccer governing body, FIFA, has confirmed arrival date of the 2023 Women’s World Cup tour in Nigeria.

Nigeria’s Super Falcons are among the 32 teams that have booked their spot in the tournament slated for midyear 2024.

According to FIFA, the Trophy Tour will first arrive in Morocco on the 20th of March before moving to South Africa on the 22nd and 23rd of March.

Zambia will host the trophy on the 24th of March before rounding off its African tour in Nigeria on the 26th.

“The FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy Tour is a spectacular global celebration of the women’s game, allowing fans, families and future football enthusiasts to be inspired and become part of a truly special journey.

“It is a fantastic opportunity to experience the most coveted prize in women’s football in person and hear from the game’s legends.

The tour will inspire people worldwide by shining a spotlight on the skills and creativity that demonstrate why women’s football has such a bright future”, FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura said.
