2023 WWC: Super Falcons destined for something special – Waldrum

Super Falcons head coach, Randy Waldrum, has said his team is destined for something special at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The nine-time African champions are already through to the Round of 16 at the competition.

Waldrum’s side were unbeaten in the group stage, with one draw and two draws in three outings.

It’s the first time the Super Falcons will achieve the feat at the Women’s World Cup.

Nigeria will take on England in the Round of 16 on Monday, August 7.

“I just feel like they all believe we are destined for something special at this World Cup,” Waldrum told AFP.

“Our journey is not over and we will be very, very well prepared for whoever we play next week.”
