The Algeria Football Federation has confirmed that the inspection team of the African soccer ruling body will arrive in the country on Monday 27th of March.
Algeria is one of the countries bidding to host the 2025 African Cup of Nations and CAF had earlier in the month cancelled the visit to the bidding country owing to the ongoing 2023 AFCON qualifier.
The Algeria football federation on Sunday afternoon released a statement about their arrival.
It reads, “as part of the evaluation of applications for hosting the AFCON 2025, and by the call for applications sent on October 26, 2022, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed an international strategy consulting firm to carry out inspection visits to the countries whose applications have been selected.
This inspection mission will lead the representatives of this cabinet to the level of the host cities to visit the sports infrastructures before closing it with a working meeting at the level headquarters of the Algerian Football Federation”, the statement read.
