2026 WCQ: Aina battle ready for Super Eagles vs Bafana Bafana

Nottingham Forest defender, Ola Aina is looking forward to Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixture against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.

The Super Eagles will entertain Hugo Broos’ men in a matchday three encounter at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Friday, June 7.

The encounter will be new head coach, Finidi George’s first official game in charge of the Super Eagles.

The three-time African champions are yet to record a win in the qualifiers having drawn their opening two games against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.

Aina stated that he is focused on the task ahead as well as welcoming the new gaffer.

“What is on my mind is to win and progress and also to welcome the new coach. The appointment of the coach is good for the team and the nation,” the former Chelsea man said in quotes revealed by News Africa Now.
