Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Tuesday emerged winner of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primary election in Osun State after securing 12,321 votes in the exercise conducted across the state.

Atiku defeated other aspirants in the contest, with his closest challenger, Deen Muhammed, polling 4,000 votes.
Declaring the result, Chairman of the Presidential Electoral Committee, Hon. Adepoju Olusola Abimbola, revealed that a total of 17,000 votes were cast.
“Rotimi Amechi came last in the result.”
