In preparation for the upcoming CAF CHAN 2024 tournament, which will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda later this month, the CHAN Eagles intensified their training on Tuesday at their Ikenne camp in Ogun State, with five more players joining the squad.
The team kicked off preparations on Monday with 21 players in camp. By Tuesday, the arrival of Musa Zayad (El-Kanemi Warriors), Aminu Adam (Kano Pillars), Anas Yusuf (Nasarawa United), Godwin Obaje (Rivers United), and Kabiru Mohammed (Kwara United) brought the total number of players under the guidance of Franco-Malian coach Eric Sekou Chelle to 26.
Although Super Eagles media officer Promise Efoghe had earlier revealed that 14 more invited players were expected to join the camp on Tuesday, only five took part in the evening training session.

Nigeria is drawn in a tricky Group D along with defending champions Senegal , Congo and Sudan.
