36 Lions, Mavlon, Broad City In Bright Start….As Supremacy Cup Day 1 Ends

Date:

36 Lions FC, Mavlon FC and Broad City FC were in jubilant mood and got off to a bright start after they all won their opening match 1-0, 2-1 and 2-1 respectively against FC Bethel Sporting, Dino SC and Corinthians FC.
The win puts the trio in pole position going into Day 2, having secured all maximum three points from their opening fixture, in a Day 1 that produced 3 wins and 3 draws, recording 14 goals in 6 matches with an average of 2.33 goals per game without the offside rule in play.

Without the offside rule one would have expected an avalanche of goals per game but it goes to show that the defenders did a good job monitoring their opponents said Dele Gbajumo former GM of defunct Ikorodu United.

He warned that scouting is not about winning but about business opportunities, he concluded.Meanwhile, in other matches played, Tripple 44 played out a 2-2 draw with Imperial FC, while Ikorodu City and Dosu Joseph FC finished 1-1, with DN 10 and SGFC Athletics also in the last match of the day ended all squared at 1-1 to call it a wrap for Day 1.

Other high points of the day include Dosu Joseph FC coach, Kayode Agboola receiving Excellence and Distinction Awards after their 1-1 draw with Ikorodu City for a job well done.
