3SC Renew Bendel Insurance Rivalry In NPFL/Dozy Mmobuosi Foundation Preseason Tourney

Shooting Stars will renew its arch-rivalry with Bendel Insurance in the opening game of the maiden NPFL/Dozy Mmobuosi Foundation Preseason Tourney which kicks off on Tuesday at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne.

In the draws conducted on Monday, both perennial and traditional rivals in Nigeria’s domestic football will set the ball rolling on Matchday One in a 3 pm fixture.

Two hours later, an Oriental Derby clash between Rangers and Enyimba will ignite the evening, as both teams will try to claim the bragging rights in a 5 pm fixture that will be played under flood lights.

It will be an interesting fixture on Matchday 2 as Bendel Insurance will take on Enyimba at 3 pm.

At 5 pm, Coach Gbenga Ogunbote will be leading Shooting Stars in his second coming against a Rangers team he helped win the 2018 edition of the FA Cup (now Aiteo Cup).

The final group matches for Matchday 3, will see the People’s Elephants locking horns against the Oluyole Warriors while Coach Monday Ogidie would hope to get the better of his former Rangers team.

After the final group matches, the top two teams with the highest points will battle themselves out in the final bill for December 9 at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne.

Meanwhile, the four teams selected by the organiser to participate in the pre-season tournament have received the sum of Ten Million Naira (N10,000,000) each as mobilization fees.

Aside from the Ten Million Naira (N10million) received, the winner among the four teams will be One Hundred Million Naira (#100,000,000 million) richer.
