Abia Warriors In Pension, Retirement Plans For Players

Abia Warriors football club of Umuahia Monday, engaged one of the country’s renowned and Prominent Pension company to educate and sensitize its players on the need to start up RETIREMENT plans while in active football.

The Club Chairman Prince Emeka Inyama who intiated the plan for its players urged them to grab the opportunity with both hands as a way of planing their various lifes after football. The Club chairman went ahead to stress on the need for the players to queue into his initiative as not to end up turning ‘beggars’ after their years of Active football.

Trustfund Pension limited marketing staff who spoke extensively to the players pointed out the need for them to start making plans for life after football because their choice of Career has no pension nor gratituity attached to and the only way to meet up with ends need after football is only by engaging in RETIREMENT SAVINGS.

The company concluded by stating the way the account will be operated and the ‘Interest’ attached to it and equally went ahead to state that the owner of the account is entitled to have a next of Kin attached to it and the process still continues even when such a player leaves Abia Warriors.
The Club Skipper while reacting after the interactive session thanked the club Chairmam and the Management for such intiative and promised on behalf of his colleagues to deliver a continental ticket as a way of thanking them for having their welfare at heart.
