New York City witnessed an intense clash as AC Milan secured a 3-2 victory over English Premier League champions Manchester City on Saturday at Yankee Stadium. Lorenzo Colombo shone with two first-half goals, while Marco Nasti sealed the win with a decisive strike in the 78th minute.
Nasti’s winning goal came from a precise centering pass by Belgian winger Alexis Saelemaekers, with the 20-year-old Italian striker slotting home a powerful shot with his right foot.
The match was part of the pre-season preparations for several European clubs, gearing up for the upcoming league campaigns next month. Manchester City had initially taken the lead through Norwegian striker Erling Haaland in the 19th minute. However, Colombo responded swiftly for AC Milan with goals in the 30th and 34th minutes, giving his team a 2-1 advantage at halftime.
Manchester City leveled the score at 2-2 in the 55th minute when Micah Hamilton’s cross found English striker James McAtee, who headed the ball into the net. This set the stage for Nasti’s match-winning heroics in the latter stages of the game.
