Senior special assistant on grassroots sports development to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Adeboye Anthony Adeyinka, has assured the President that grassroots sports will will not only change the face of sports in the country but will bring back the glory days under his watch.
Adeboye, a renowned sporrs administrator for more than three decades, has promised the president that his wealth of experience in sports administration will help him transform and rejuvenate grassroots sports and change the face of sports in Nigeria to lofty heights.
The Smart City president, who is a patriarch in grassroots sports development, has no iota of doubts, that the Tinubu administration will definitely change the face of sports in the country, due to his total commitment and genuine intentions of taking sports to greater heights.
“I want to assure Nigerians that grassroots sports will change the face of sports in our beloved nation, as we all know, every country can only thrive when the grassroots is well nourished and nutured properly, because they are the bedrock of every nation’s sports, that would become world champions in future”, he said.
“President Tinubu is a true leader, who is an advocate of youth development, that is why he has given us a palatable platform to make sure everything is in place for us to succeed in our quest of taking sports to greater and enviable heights in both local and international level”, he added.
“I know the president has huge faith in me to make great impact in putting our sports in the right path and growth from the grassroots level, and he believes we can achieve alot and make this country proud in the next few years”, he concluded.
Adeboye, alongside, chairman National Sports Commission chairman, Alhaji Shehu Dikko, Director General of National sports commission, Honourable Bukola Olopade, recently had a gracious and fruitful meeting, with president Tinubu on taking Nigerian sports to enviable heights.
