AFCON 2023: CAF confirms final squad of 24-team contenders

With seven days to kick-off of Africa’s biggest event, the  TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Cote d’Ivoire 2023, CAF today released the final squad list for the 24 qualified teams.

The opening match of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Cote d’Ivoire 2023 will be played in Abidjan on 13 January 2023.

In line with the new Regulations, each Participating Member Association (“PMA”) is permitted to submit a final squad of up to 27 players; with only 23 available for selection for each match during the Tournament.

A player in the final squad can only be replaced after a serious injury no less than 24 hours before the team’s first match.

Below are the 24 nations in the battle of Cote d Ivoire. Winner of the championship will cart away $7million dollars following increment of the prize money by Confederation of Africa football, while the runner up will have a purse of $4million to take home.
