AFCON 2023: Former Angola defender, Kali tips Black Antelopes to beat Super Eagles

Former Angola Defender, Kali has backed the Black Antelopes to beat Nigeria in their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final showdown on Friday.

Pedro Goncalves’ side have enjoyed a stellar campaign in Cote d’Ivoire, with three wins and one draw from four games.

The Black Antelopes are now among the tournament favourites following the exit of big guns like Senegal, Morocco and Algeria.

Kali faced the Super Eagles thrice during his active days.

The former centre-back was on the winning side once while the other two fixtures ended in a draw.

He believes his country would triumph over Nigeria this time around.

“Angola will be very well prepared to face Nigeria. I think it is the most important match between the two teams. We have a better chance of advancing,” Kali told Btolat.

The encounter will be held at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan.
