Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has urged every Nigerian, regardless of tribe and religion, to continue to show the true spirit of unity following Nigeria’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinal 1-0 win over Angola on Friday.
Musa, in a tweet through his official X account on Saturday evening, also thanked Nigerians for their support for Jose Peseiro’s side against Angola.
The former Leicester City star tweeted: “Thank you, amazing supporters, for showcasing the true spirit of unity in the recent Super Eagles of Nigeria vs. Angola.

“Despite our diverse tribes and religions, football unites us all. The songs, images, and videos flooding social media reflect our shared passion.

Musa has yet to feature for the Super Eagles at the AFCON so far.
But the forward has been captured on several occasions, supporting and encouraging the team from the bench.
