OGC Nice manager Francesco Farioli has revealed Terem Moffi is disappointed with his omission from Nigeria’s squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Moffi was one of the notable absentees from the 25-man squad named by head coach, Jose Peseiro last week.
Peseiro opted for four strikers; Victor Osimhen, Victor Boniface, Kelechi Iheanacho and Umar Sadiq in his squad for the competition.
Farioli said Moffi was disappointed with his omission but is now concentrated on playing for the club.

The gaffer further said he is happy that the forward is staying with the club.
“I have two different feelings (on the absence of Moffi at the Africa Cup of Nations). On the one hand, regret because Terem Moffi cared a lot to represent his country, his family and his friends,” Farioli told reporters.
“But on the other hand, he is our best recruit of January and we are happy that he is with us.
“He trained with a very positive mindset with the desire to do well and put himself at the disposal of the team. We see him very focused and very determined.”
