AFCON 2025 Qualifiers: Sadiq arrives in Abidjan for Benin Republic clash

Real Sociedad striker Umar Sadiq has arrived at the Super Eagles’ camp in Abidjan ahead of their AFCON 2025 qualifier against Benin Republic.

With his arrival, all 23 invited players are now present and available for caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen.

The 27-year-old had missed his flight to Abidjan on Tuesday but has now joined the squad in time for preparations.

Sadiq is expected to participate in the team’s training session later this evening, which will begin at 7:00 PM local time (8:00 PM Nigeria time).

The Super Eagles will face Benin Republic at the Felix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium on Thursday, with the match scheduled to kick off at 8:00 PM.
