A former Super Eagles midfielder, Friday Ekpo on Thursday, urged the Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro, to put up new strategies going into the final of the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Ekpo told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ibadan that this was critical to the Super Eagles winning the final against Ivory Coast on Sunday.

This is coming after the Super Eagles defeated the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the semi-final clash on Thursday.

“Another game plan is needed other than the usual that has been used; this is the final and must be handled as one,” he said.

He added, “They picked up gradually like every other team. They put up a good fighting spirit and never backed down in the competition.

He, however, urged the players to play according to the coach`s game plan and bring their individual brilliance into the game so as to lit the cup.
