AFCONQ 2025: Stanley Nwabali responds to Super Eagles’ victory over Libya

Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has shared his thoughts following Nigeria’s 1-0 victory over Libya in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier on Friday.

The Chippa United keeper secured a clean sheet during the match, held at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

Recall that Fisayo Dele-Bashiru scored the game’s only goal of the encounter.

The win took Austin Eguavoen’s side to the top of Group D with seven points from three matches.

Reacting, Nwabali took to his X account on Saturday to commend the Super Eagles for putting in a ‘great performance’ against the North Africans.

“Cony man die cony man bury am. Great team performance and clean sheet,” Nwabali tweeted.
