Africa Games 2023: Danjuma optimistic ahead Falconets opener vs Morocco

Less than 24 hours after their compatriots Flying Eagles went down 2-1 to their Ugandan counterparts in their group opening game, the Falconets will today open against their Moroccan counterparts in the women’s category.  Coach of the side Chris Danjuma is optimistic that his side will begin on a sound note at the Cape Coast Stadium in Ghana.

Danjuma underscored the importance of his side making a good start in the competition.

“Thank God we have qualified for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Colombia 2024; we want a good justification by coming here and exciting ourselves and knowing that we are able to match every other team that has qualified for the World Cup,” he told a press conference.

The tactician also acknowledged that much will be expected from his side in the women’s football event.

‘In every competition, Nigeria is the team to beat,” Danjuma added.
