Afrobasket: D’Tigress await quarter final foes from Mozambique-Cote d’Ivoire clash

Date:

Nigeria’s D’Tigress will be back in action to play the winner between Mozambique and Cote d’Ivoire in the quarter final.

The team booked an automatic quarter final spot at the ongoing FIBA Afrobasket championship following its back to back win over Democratic Republic of Congo and Egypt.

The Rena Wakama’s side on Friday edged DR Congo 67-35, before pouncing 83-65 on Sunday.

The team will now have a deserved two days rest as they await the winner of the Mozambique and Cote d’Ivoire qualifying tie for the quarter final.

The quarter finals are scheduled for Wednesday, August 2, 2023.

As the defending champions, D’Tigress have a strong chance to continue their success in the tournament.
