Ahead of World Cup playoff: Ronaldo calls for Portugal unity

Manchester United striker, Cristiano Ronaldo, has called for unity ahead of Portugal’s World Cup playoff against Turkey.

The winner of the clash will meet the winner from Italy’s playoff against North Macedonia.

Portugal captain Ronaldo said: “Total focus on the 2022 World Cup. Proud, as always, to represent Portugal.

“We know that the path will not be easy, we have the utmost respect for the opponents we will face and that share the same goals as us.

“But together, we will fight to put Portugal in our rightful place. Let’s do it!”
