The Super Eagles players and officials have just boarded their flight to Garoua, Cameroon ahead of the national team’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations opening match against Egypt.

The good news is that Fatih Karagümrük S.K. winger Ahmed Musa will fly out with the rest of his teammates as he was spotted boarding the plane to Cameroon this evening.

Musa was given permission to leave camp for an undisclosed reason and it was feared in some quarters that the Nigeria captain would not be in the traveling squad to Cameroon.

Along with Kenneth Omeruo, the former CSKA Moscow star was in the last Nigeria squad to win the Africa Cup of Nations in 2013.

Apart from the aforementioned duo, twenty three other players named in the finalized squad boarded the plane.

The Nigeria Football Federation are still negotiating with Al-Shabab over the release of Odion Ighalo while Benfica loanee Tyronne Ebuehi will join up with his international teammates after Thursday’s Serie A clash between Venezia and Salernitana.

Interim Super Eagles manager Augustine Eguavoen struggled to answer a question about the status of Jamilu Collins during Tuesday’s presser – a warning that all is not well with the SC Paderborn defender.
