Ajax Star Kudus goes on strike over Everton move

Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus has gone on strike to force a move to Premier League outfit Everton before Thursday’s transfer deadline.

The 22-year-old midfielder has struggled to settle at Ajax since joining the club in 2020 due to injuries and is not a certain starter in the team.

Everton are interested in taking him to the Premier League and have offered to sign him on a permanent deal.

Kudus has a contractual agreement with the Toffees, but Ajax are in no mood to entertain negotiations to sell the midfielder.

But according to Dutch daily De Telegraaf, Kudus is pushing for the move and has gone on strike to get his transfer to Everton.

He refused to train with the squad on Wednesday morning and is pushing Ajax to negotiate a deal with Everton.

Lisandro Martinez had a row with the Ajax technical team to get his move to Manchester United earlier in the summer.

And Antony also refused to train or play games before the Dutch champions reluctantly decided to sell him to the Old Trafford outfit last week

Kudus is hopeful that similar tactics will help him move to Everton, but Ajax remain adamant about not wanting to sell him.
