Rasheedat Ajibade has finally ended her goalless run in La Liga Femenino which started on October 22nd, 2022, and lasted for more than 13 games.
The Nigerian forward scored both goals for Atletico Madrid as they secured a 2-1 win against Real Sociedad on Saturday.
Ajibade was finally relieved after finally scoring in a La Liga game for Atletico for the first time since she scored four goals against Huelva on October 15th, 2022.
After 14 runs of games in La Liga without a goal for Atletico, Rasheedat scored in the 6th minute to hand her side the lead.
But the lead was canceled out three minutes later by Amaiur Sarriegi.
Ajibade then scored her second goal completing fine teamwork in the 47th minute to chalk her brace.
The Nigerian forward now has 6 goals in 19 league games.
