Super Eagles hopeful Chuba Akpom made a difference off the bench as he doubled Ajax’s lead with four minutes left on the clock.
The Hale End Academy graduate expertly nodded a low cross into the net, with the ball glancing off the underside of the bar on its way in.

Akpom has now scored seven goals in the 26 matches he has played for Ajax this season, including 14 starts.
Elsewhere, young Nigerian winger Samuel Akere was on the scoresheet at the Hristo Botev Stadium as Botev Plovdiv suffered a 4-2 defeat at the hands of Ludogorets in the Bulgarian top flight.
