Akujobi Assist Helps Almere Draw Away

Date:

Hamdi Jobi Akujobi has continued to show class, consistency and form in his Netherland Eredivisie side, Almere City as his top class assist on Saturday helped his team secure a valuable 2-2 away draw against Sparta Rotterdam.

The match which was played October 19, 2024 at Het Kasteel stadium, Rotterdam city, Netherlands, took just 8 minutes of action before a pin-point cross from Hamdi Akujobi after a busting run from the right was connected by Thomas Robinet, for Almere to take the lead.

Just two minutes later, Almere profited from an own goal by B. Reith in the 10th minute to take a two goal cushion before the interval.

But Rotterdam responded early enough immediately after the half time break with two quick goals in the 49th and 55th minutes through C. Neghli and P. Clement to draw level.

The scoreline stayed unchanged at 2-2 until full time, to ensure both teams shared the spoil.

Meanwhile, the young high-flying right wing back, Akujobi remains one of the major performers for Almere this season despite the team having a very torrid campaign.

He was also listed amongst the highest rated players in the game due to his blistering performance.

The Nigerian has in deed continued from where he stopped last season, small wonder many top teams in Europe are on his trail with Almere refusing to sell one of their most prized assets.
