Akwa Ibom government buys 30,000 tickets to rally fans for Super Eagles vs Zimbabwe

The Akwa Ibom State Government has reportedly purchased 30,000 tickets for football fans ahead of the Super Eagles’ 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe.

This initiative aims to rally strong support for the Super Eagles during the match.

Eric Chelle’s squad will face the Warriors at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Tuesday. The team has played all its previous home qualifiers at this venue.

The three-time African champions will be eager to secure their second victory in the qualifiers, following a 2-0 win over Rwanda last Friday in Kigali.

The Group C clash is set to kick off at 5 p.m.
