Al-Nassr boss Garcia impressed with Ronaldo, teammates blend

Al-Nassr manager Rudi Garcia believes the club’s players have now figured out how to play with Cristiano Ronaldo after the five-time Ballon d’Or winner scored four goals in one game last week.

Ronaldo, 38, had a mediocre start to his career in the Middle East after signing with the Saudi Pro League club in December. But last week, he went back in time and scored all four goals for Al-Nassr in their resounding victory over Al-Wehda.

Garcia had just a fortnight earlier asked the rest of his side to “play normally” in response to their new star forward, who had only scored once in his first three competitive games for the team before his goal-rain last week.

But in light of Ronaldo’s incredible four-goal performance, Garcia is now persuaded that Ronaldo and the rest of the Al-Nassr team are now enjoying a better understanding.

The Al-Nassr manager said: “Ronaldo has reached a great stage of homogeneity and harmony with his teammates. Over time, his teammates realized what he wanted and when he will score. I think it was a good night for Cristiano Ronaldo because he scored four goals.”

With an astounding 503 league goal, Ronaldo has already eclipsed his most recent record thanks to his excellent performance against Al-Wehda.

After Al-Nassr’s convincing victory over Al-Wehda, Garcia’s squad currently leads the Saudi Pro League ahead of Al-Ittihad on goal differential.
