Pyramids of Egypt youngster, Samuel Amusan came of the bench during a CAF champions league game between his team and JKU FC of Tanzania at the weekend to underscore his steady progress at the club.
The game which Pyramids won convincingly by 3-1 on the night and 9-1 on aggregate, saw Amusan featuring for about 20 minutes in the encounter.
This is a huge milestone for the winger who just got promoted this season to the main squad after some eye catching performances last season.
His manager, James Adebayo told us that this means a lot to both the player and himself.
“My player Samuel Amusan featured in a CAF champions league game for his team at the weekend.
“This means a lot to us because it’s not too long they promoted him to the first team from the Youth side.
“He played for about 20 minutes having come in around the 70th minute mark but that didn’t stop him from doing well.
“They beat their opponents JKU FC of Tanzania 3-1” , he said.
The North African teams have dominated the continental competitions like the CAF champions league and the CAF Confederation cup.
