World 100m hurdles champion Tobi Amusan sped to a 12.34 finish Sunday at the Diamond League meeting in Silesia, Poland to win ahead of former world record holder, Kendra Harisson (12.35) and 2019 world champion, Nia Ali (12.38).

It was a personal season’s best for the Nigerian who also equalled the meeting record set last year by reigning Olympic champion, Jasmine Camacho-Quinn.

Amusan, 26, has now moved top of the 100m hurdles Diamond League ranking with 23 points following wins in Stockholm and Silesia and second place finish in Lausanne with just two meetings to go (Monaco and Zurich) before the final.

She is now seven points ahead of Camacho-Quinn who was not in Silesia and the Nigerian is steadily inching towards qualifying for the Diamond League final in Eugene,Oregon where she will be seeking to win the discipline for the third straight year after winning in 2021 and 2022.
