Real Madrid boss, Carlo Ancelotti, has named attacking midfielder Jude Bellingham as the world’s best footballer at the moment.
Ancelotti spoke on Friday as Real Madrid prepare to begin the defence of their Copa del Rey trophy this weekend.
Ancelotti’s side will travel to fourth-tier Arandina CF on Saturday in the Copa del Rey round of 32 tie, after lifting the cup last May in Seville.
“Jude Bellingham is the best player in the world,” Ancelotti said via (via MadridXtra).
Bellingham has lit up La Liga after joining Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund last summer.

The England international has bagged 17 goals and five assists in 22 games across competitions for the Los Blancos.
He has become the fastest goalscorer in Real Madrid’s history with 14 goals in his first 15 games for the club.
This eclipses Cristiano Ronaldo, Alfredo Di Stefano and Pruden Sanchez’s previous joint-record of 13 in their first 15 games.
