Anthony Joshua Sends Fresh War Message To Wilder, Tyson Fury

ANTHONY JOSHUA has told Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury he’s willing to fight the winner of their December showdown next year.

Wilder will defend his WBC heavyweight crown against Fury at the Staples Center in Los Angeles a week on Saturday.

The victor of the fight will put themselves in pole position for a multi-million-pound unification bout with Joshua, the owner of the WBA Super, WBO, IBF and IBO titles.

And Joshua has revealed he plans on facing the winner of Wilder vs Fury and unifying the heavyweight division by the end of 2019.

Joshua declared his intention to become the division’s first undisputed ruler since Lennox Lewis in posts on his Twitter and Instagram pages last night.

Alongside a picture of himself, he wrote: “Unified the heavyweight division twice in 22 fights.

“Watch me become Undisputed Heavyweight Champion in 2019! Stay Hungry.”

Joshua’s next outing will take place at Wembley on April 13.

It’s highly unlikely the winner of Wilder vs Fury will go toe-to-toe with ‘AJ’ next April due to the short turnaround they’d have to perform to get ready for the fight.

Wilder is relishing the opportunity to get his hands on Fury, the current lineal heavyweight champion, and believes their showdown will determine who’s the man in the division.

“In my true honest opinion, I feel whoever wins this can call themselves the best heavyweight champion in the world,” the American said. “Let’s face it, we don’t have to keep going over this over and over again about Anthony Joshua, they had their opportunity, they had their chance.

“They had their chance to prove and see was he the goods or was he spoiled milk?

“They didn’t want to accept that challenge because they already know what I possess, they know my mindset and what I’m able to do and they know that he’s not on that level.
