Joe Aribo is not thinking about a move away from Rangers despite several reports linking him with clubs in England
Aribo has been linked with a reunion with former boss, Steven Gerrard at Aston Villa.
Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace and Brentford are also reported to be interested in the versatile midfielder, who enjoyed a successful season in Glasgow.
The talented Nigerian won the Scottish Cup with the Gers and scored in the UEFA Europa League final defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt.
With Aribo entering the final year of his contract, Rangers may look to cash in during the transfer window, however, he refuses to dwell on his future and rumours about a move to the Premier League.
“With all that stuff I don’t really read into it and I just focus on my football, because you can’t have distractions as it won’t allow you to play the best and be the best that you want to be,” the 25-year-old told BBC Sports Africa.
“Which is obviously what I want to be every time I play. I just want to be focused and ready to go.”
Aribo has scored 26 goals and recorded 25 assists in 148 appearances since arriving at Rangers from Charlton Athletic in 2019.
