Asaba 2022: Winning The Team Event Will Boost Our Morale – Delta Table Tennis Captain

After leading her team to victory in the Team event of the women’s table tennis Rasheedat Ogundele has disclosed that the victory will boost their morale for the upcoming singles event.

Team Delta on Friday thrashed Team Oyo 3-0 to claim the Gold medal.

According to the breakdown of the result, Delta’s Bello beat Team Oyo’s Fatima Kazeem 3-0 (11-4, 11-6, 11-7) while Ajoke Ojomu fought hard to win 3-2 (11-3, 9-11, 5-11, 11-8, 11-3) against Halima Hussain.

While speaking to the New Agency of Nigeria( NAN) Ogundele the victory will motivate them for the singles event.

“Winning the team event has boosted our morale and given us a strong chance in the women’s singles.

“Delta stands better chances of carting away with most of the medals in the women’s singles because we have the defending champion, Fatima Bello,“ she said.
