Atalanta is reportedly considering Nottingham Forest’s Emmanuel Dennis as a potential reinforcement for their attack.
The TuttoMercatoWeb.com editorial team, as reported by TuttoAtalanta, it is suggested that the 1997-born Nigerian striker could be the perfect addition to Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad.
Dennis has shown promise, drawing comparisons to his countryman, Ademola Lookman, who made an impact for Atalanta last season with 15 goals and eight assists in 33 appearances between Serie A and the Italian Cup.
Having previously played for Watford and Nottingham Forest in England, Dennis has accumulated 62 appearances, netting 12 goals and providing nine assists.
However, his last season with Nottingham Forest saw a decline in form, with only two goals and three assists in 25 games, signalling the need for a fresh start.
Due to his dismal performance, there have been some transfer rumours tying the Nigerian away from the City Ground; nonetheless, he has been seen showing his loyalty to the team despite the rumours linking him to Leeds United, Saudi Arabia, and a number of other teams.
Despite this, Atalanta appears committed to signing the Nigerian striker as they think their squad will provide Dennis with the best chance to regain his best form and contribute significantly to Gasperini’s offensive lineup.
