Taiwo Awoniyi has reacted to his Man of the Match display in Bournemouth’s 1-1 home draw against Chelsea on Sunday night.
Awoniyi put up a spirited display in the encounter and was unlucky not to get a goal.
The Nigeria international received the highest number of votes (39.7%) ahead of Cote d’Ivoire international Serge Aurier (28.4%) votes.
Awoniyi took to the social media to celebrate the the award.
“Thankful to have gotten my first ever premier league MOTM award but also disappointed a spirited performance from the team didn’t end with three points. We keep pushing,” he tweeted.
The 25-year-old has scored three goals in 15 league appearances for Steve Cooper’s side.
