Awoniyi Hails Nottingham Forest Teammate Dennis

Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi has heaped praises on teammates Emmanuel Dennis.

Awoniyi was the first to join the newly promoted Premier League club before Dennis joined him from the English Championship side Watford FC.

While speaking on Instagram to Naijafootballers, Awoniyi explained the time they played against each other at the football academy level in Nigeria.

“He went to a football academy in my state when he was very young in the city where I was born that is Kwara Football Academy.

“Sometimes my team went to play them and they used to beat us about 12-0 because they were a top academy.

“From that moment, I’ve always known him so well and scored a lot of goals when we went to the national team, I knew for sure that he will be a good player.

“We’ve known each other a very long time, he’s a good guy and we have a very good relationship.

“I never thought we will end up at the same club together, but the day the gaffer asked me about him I said yes we grew up together and I knew him quite well”, he said.
