Barcelona: Ronaldinho gives verdict on Xavi

Barcelona legend, Ronaldinho, has given his verdict on manager, Xavi Hernández, at Camp Nou.

Ronaldinho said Xavi has returned hope back to Barcelona since he returned to the club as manager a few months ago.

Barcelona slipped to ninth in the LaLiga table after a poor start under Ronald Koeman, who was sacked last October, with Xavi drafted in the following month as his replacement.

However, Barcelona’s fortunes have quickly improved under Xavi as the Spaniard has gradually lifted the Catalan club back up into the Champions League places.

“We are excited that Barca plays well again and I think anything is possible,” Ronaldinho told Mundo Deportivo.

“I hope so and as a fan I’m hoping that things go well and I think there can be [a comeback].”

“Xavi has returned and has brought us hope,” the Brazilian added. “As my friend and ex-team-mate, this excites people and me too.

“When he played, he already had a vision of the game as a coach.

“He guided the game and I see it very well [in his coaching] too because he makes us want to watch Barca games again.”
