Ahead of the 2023 Women Afrobasket competition, the organiser FIBA has announced Rwanda as host of the championship.
Since the completion of the BK Arena in Kigali, the country has hosted numerous basketball competitions including the much-publicized African Basketball League(BAL).
Nigeria’s D’Tigeress is among the teams that have booked their participation in the upcoming tournament.
Other countries include Cameroon, DR Congo, Egypt, Mali, Mozambique Senegal, and the host Rwanda.
Despite missing out on the Women’s Basketball World Cup, D’Tigeress are still a strong force in the Women’s Afrobasket and they remained a strong favorite for the competition.
