Bassey ruled out of Super Eagles, Mali friendly

Fulham defender, Calvin Bassey, will miss Nigeria’s friendly against the Eagles of Mali due to injury.

Bassey missed the Super Eagles 2-1 friendly victory against the Black Stars of Ghana due to the injury.

The centre-back didn’t train with his teammates in the build up to the game and was named among the substitutes.

The former Ajax players has now been forced to return to his club due to the setback.

All the remaining 22 players are available for selection.

The Super Eagles will take on Mali at the Grand Stade de Marrakech on Tuesday.
