Bayelsa Governor’s football tournament (Prosperity Cup) final matches rescheduled

Yenagoa, Bayelsa State – The organizers of the Bayelsa Governor’s Football Tournament (Prosperity Cup) have announced a slight change in the schedule of the final matches due to unforeseen circumstances.

The new schedule is as follows:

Friday, July 19:

  • Para Soccer Final: 1:00pm
  • Women’s Third Place Match: Niger Delta Queens take on Afini Ladies by 3:00pm

Saturday, July 20:

– Third Place Match would be between Bayelsa United Feeders and Kongho FC of Brass at 11:00am.

-The Grand finale would see NDU QUEEN’S take on Peremor Soccer Academy at the
Women’s Final by 1:00pm

While the final of all finals would see Ogbionbiri Utd of Southern Ijaw trade tackles with Nembe City FC of Nembe at the Men’s Final by 3:00pm

All matches will be played at the Samson Siasia Sports Complex.

Distinguished Guests include:

  • Chairman of the Occasion: Senator John Owan Enoh, Minister of Sports Development
  • Special Guest of Honor: His Excellency, Godwin Obaseki, Governor of Edo State
  • Guests of Honor:
    • Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources
