Bayern Munich manager, Julian Naglesmann, feels forward Sadio Mane is missing a can opener.
Naglesmann believes Mane has not hit his peak with the Bundesliga champions yet but is confident that the Senegalese international will come good.
Mane, who joined Bayern Munich from Liverpool on a €32 million transfer this summer, has struggled to score lately.
While Mane boasts five goals in nine appearances across competitions, the former Southampton star has struck only thrice in the Bundesliga so far this season.
Mane is on a three-game goalless run across competitions, having failed to find the back of the net in Bayern’s UEFA Champions League win over Inter Milan last week.
However, Naglesmann is not losing his mind over Mane’s form, saying that he is satisfied with the 30-year-old’s performances.
Speaking ahead of Bayern Munich’s Champions League tie with Barcelona on Tuesday, Naglesmann said (via sport1): “Sadio is missing a can opener. He’s had a few offside situations. He is sometimes a bit too critical and can have more self-confidence.
“He may appear positively arrogant. His peak hasn’t been reached yet, but I’m not critical of him at the moment. I’m satisfied with his performance.”
