Birmingham 2022: Our Target Is To Win For Nigeria – Aruna Quadri

Date:

Team Nigeria Table tennis captain Aruna Quadri has insisted that they are in Birmingham to win gold for Nigeria and nothing more, BSNsports.com.ng has gathered.

The Nigerian men’s table tennis team has been the cynosure of all eyes in the ongoing Commonwealth Games winning back-to-back games both in doubles and singles.

While reacting to the performance of the team, Aruna praised the team but believe they have to do more to get the title.

” We are doing very well and we are also in top form but we still have different opponents who are much better than the previous opponents.

“We hope to improve match after match, it was a little bit easy against our African brothers and Cyprus.

“We have England, Canada, India and we have to do well to win the title.

“Our target is to win for Nigeria and that is the main reason we are here and we will do our best, ” he said.
