Nigeria’s Victor Boniface has been rated best in Europe after his club victorious outing
Fresh from winning the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen, Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface has another reason to celebrate.
The 23-year-old striker has notched 18 goals and assisted ten more in 27 games across all competitions for Xabi Alonso’s men.
However, his goal tally could have even been more if not for a three-month injury layoffs that saw him miss crucial games, including sitting out the Africa Cup of Nations, where Nigeria finished as runners-up.
Super Eagles star Victor Boniface has seen his stock rise after a recent publication by the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) Football Observatory Group.
The report highlighted the performance of outfield players in six key positions: ground defence, distribution, take-on, chance creation, finishing, and aerial play.

With respect to finishing in the big five European leagues, Victor Boniface ranked higher than Manchester City’s hitman Erling Haaland and Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez.
Fellow African striker Serhou Guirassy who plays for VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga, was also ranked below the Nigeria forward.
Only Harry Kane (Bayern Munich), Deniz Undav (VfB Stuttgart) and Kylian Mbappe (PSG) were considered better finishers than Victor Boniface.
