BREAKING! 513 Staff Of Edo Sports Commission Storm The Street To Protest Sack

About five hundred and thirteen (513) staff of the Edo State Sports Commission have taken to the street to make known their grievances after being reportedly laid off illegally by the Edo State Government.

The staffs who amongst them were, Program Athletes, Organizing Secretaries who were all laid off without due notice or an official statement have on Wednesday taken to the street to demonstrate their displeasure over the ill-mannered treatment melted on them by the State Government and has hence blocked all the major roads that lead to the Stadium linking to the Stadium which includes the Akenzua road, Stadium road, and the Ekenwan-stadium link road.

According to one of the affected Athletes who disclosed to this writer that the chairman of sports commission Yusuf Alli why addressing the aggrieved protesters said that everyone affected should reapply.

In his words “Everyone affected here will reapply to me personally and we will evaluate the applications”.

With this latest development, there’s an indication that the FIFA U-20 female World Cup qualifier between Falconets and their Senegalese counterparts, billed for Ogbemudia Stadium this Saturday may be under threat.
