Commissioner for local governments and chieftaincy affairs in Niger state, Hon. Mu’azu Abdulhamid Jantabo a native of Lapai Local government has challenged any team that made it to the finals of this year’s Niger State Governor’s Cup to come and compete with Lapai local government, having made it to the finals.

Lapai LG will be slugging it out with Lavun LG at the finals and the commissioner is undisturbed having believed that Lapai have all it takes to host and win.

In his chat with Sportsdayonline and Joansportsbliss the honorable commissioner believed in the passion, hard work and energy that the local government brought in and as a known football house they have all it takes

“The team is excited to make it to the finals. The atmosphere is here poised, you can feel the energy, the enthusiasm. This is what sports is all about. Lapai LG is trying to position ourselves, we have always being a football giants in Niger state. This is restoring the lost Glory and hoping to sustain and keep it.

All the sides that we have played in this competition from the beginning are strong sides. Everybody is here to win. The performances throughout the competition has shown that we are really committed in picking the trophy. So bring it on” he concluded.
