CAF Confederation Cup: El Kanemi Warriors to Face Beninese Opponents on Friday

Date:

El Kanemi Warriors will now host the first leg of their preliminary round match in the CAF Confederation Cup against Dadjè FC of Benin Republic on Friday at Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.

Originally scheduled for Sunday, August 18, the home game was postponed after CAF prohibited the use of Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja. Due to this restriction, the team opted for Remo Stars Stadium as an alternative, but had to reschedule because it conflicted with the stadium’s existing booking for an Inter club competition game.

El-Kanemi enters the match highly motivated after receiving N35.2 million from the Borno State Government for ending a 32-year trophy drought with their President Federation Cup win.
